Orange nails for Marie.

Today I have an orange mani with a purpose.

I was scrolling through my news feed on Instagram the other day and came across quite a few manis that were orange and tagged with the hashtag #orangenailsformarie.  Marie has been fighting leukemia and, according to what I was able to find out, it is a tough fight at the moment.  So in support of Marie, and in hopes that seeing such a large backing behind her, a new spark of motivation will give her that extra push needed because cancer does suck.  Although I don't know you Marie, I support you 100% in your fight against this beast and you WILL conquer.

So in honor of Marie...

All my love, thoughts, and prayers.

P.S.  This color is called "Year Round Sunshine" by Anise.  A very fitting name, don't you think?

Black tie optional.

Good morning lovelies!!  So, as soon as I heard about the new line of Hard Candy polishes that was released at Walmart a while back, I rushed to my local store and picked up a few of them.  Unfortunately, they have been sitting in my giant box of untrieds for weeks on end.

Black tie optional is a glitter top coat with black and white hexes of varying sizes as well as black bar glitters.  I have been trying to decide what I wanted to use this over, and last night it finally hit me - neon!

I paired this with OPI Black Onyx and layered it over Orly Glowstick (white undies are Sally Hansen White On).

This is also my first time using Orly Glowstick, and whoa.  This sucker is bright!  And paired with the black it just glows that much more.

I hope you all enjoy this look!

Until next time...

A girly gradient.

Hi all!  See!  I told you I would have two posts today!  :)

This is a gradient using Sinful Colors Beverly Hills, a light lavender with a hint of pink, and China Glaze Make An Entrance, a gorgeous pink.  I love the way that these two colors compliment each other!

And of course, you know I had to top it off with China Glaze Fairy Dust ;)

I haven't done a gradient in a while, so I thought today would be a great day to do one again.  I hope you all like it as much as I do!

Until next time...

Zoya Storm.

Hi everyone!  Today I will have TWO posts for all of you, which will hopefully make up for my lack of posting the past week.

I finally got my hands on Zoya Storm, and the moment I swatched it on my nail wheel I wanted to kick myself for not getting it when it was released.  It is such a stunner!!  Black with a scattered holographic twist - pure love.

Here are some sun shots:

And one in the shade:

I seriously can't believe that I just got this.  I love it so much!

Until next time (or the next post!)...

Sinful Shine My Kryptonite and Most Sinful.

Hi everyone!  As I have been promising, here are the swatches of the remaining two Sinful Colors Sinful Shine polishes that I picked up.

First up is My Kryptonite.  Super shiny and great coverage in only two coats.  Pictured is two coats, no top coat.  My only disappointment with this one is the staining that I had after removal.  And keep in mind, I only had this polish on for a few minutes for the swatch and pictures.  I really had to scrub my nails with a cotton ball and acetone to get it completely off, and there was still some staining left behind.  I can't imagine what it would have looked like if I had worn this color for even longer.

Now this one I love!  This is Most Sinful, which is identical to Endless Blue (also by Sinful Colors).  The only difference between the two is that Most Sinful dries with a gel-like appearance and is much shinier.  I can't get enough of the cobalt blues lately!

The Sinful Shine Collection by Sinful Colors is exclusive to Walgreens.  I paid $2.99 each.

Until next time...

Clowning around.

Hi girlies!  Today I have a bright and fun mani to share with all of you.  I recently made my first purchase with Lush Lacquer after seeing some swatches on Instagram.  I have really been into everything neon lately (who isn't?!) and once I saw Clowning Around I knew I just had to have it in my collection.

Clowning around is jam packed with purple, pink, blue, green, orange, and yellow (all neon) transparent hex glitters in various sizes.  I love that this is in a clear base, allowing it to be used over any color!  Oh, the possibilities!!

Pictured is one coat of Clowning Around over Sally Hansen White On.

I paired this with Island Girl Royal Hawaiian for that added pop of color.

Clowning Around and all other Lush Lacquer polishes can be purchased on their Etsy site here.  I am in LOVE with this, and can definitely see myself using this quite a bit this summer.  The application was soooo easy too, which makes this a complete winner.

Until next time...

Zoya Blaze and OPI Honey Ryder.

Hi everyone!  Life is crazy right now with a toddler who is finally feeling better from being sick for over two weeks and another who got sick a few days ago and is just starting to get better.  I need sleeeeeeeeeeeeep!  On top of all of that, trying to schedule appointments my physical, track down immunization records, having blood drawn, TB tests, etc. all to prepare for nursing school.  And the list of books for the first semester!  Trying not to get overwhelmed before it even starts - easier said than done, especially when all I see are dollar signs...

OK, rant over.  I know I mentioned I had two more of the Sinful Shine colors to swatch, and I will definitely get those done, but I just had to use my new Zoya Blaze.  I don't know what took me so long to finally get this color - but holy moly!  It's incredible!  I love the depth that you get with this polish - definitely a must-have and

I paired Blaze with an accent nail using OPI Honey Ryder, one of the newest Liquid Sand colors.  It is absolutely stunning.

Here are some sun shots.  Blaze is definitely much brighter in the sun, and you can really see the scattered holo.  In love.

I hope you all like this mani as much as I do.  I will definitely be wearing this for another day!

Until next time...

Sinful Shine Devious and Picante.

Hi everyone!  Hope you are all having a great weekend!  The weather here is gorrrrgeous, and I so wish my son wasn't sick - I'm dying to go to the beach!

Today I have two more swatches from the new Sinful Colors Sinful Shine Collection to share with all of you. I am really liking this new line - they are definitely very shiny!

First up is Devious.  This is a classic shade of red with superb shine.  Pictured is two coats.

The other color that I swatched is Picante, a coral-pink with hints of orange.  I really like this color.  It is perfect for the warm weather we are having here.  This is two coats.

I have two more colors from the Sinful Shine Collection, and should have swatches of those posted soon.

What do you think of this new collection from Sinful Colors?  Will you be picking any up?

Until next time...

Sinful Shine Rendezvous and Alfresco.

Hi everyone!  I hope you all have been well!  Sorry for the lack of posts the past few days.  I have two sick toddlers on my hands, and they are my number one priority.  Mommy duties :)

I picked up six colors from the new Sinful Shine Collection by Sinful Colors.  I had all of the intentions of doing complete swatches of the colors I purchased, but stopped after the second because I just couldn't bring myself to take it off.  I am in love with these!

The display claimed that these have "Gel Tech for ultimate gloss" and are "5x more gloss than a patent leather shoe!" Now that is glossy!!

This is Rendezvous, a soft mint, with a touch of teal.  This color reminds me so much of China Glaze For Audrey.  I will have to do a swatch comparison soon.

The next polish I swatched is the one I couldn't bring myself to take off.  This is Alfresco.  A gorgeous baby blue, with periwinkle vibes.  It is such a bright shade; I love it!  It also has a super fine shimmer in it, which I love.

I purchased these at Walgreens for $2.99.  I hope you like these colors as much as I do.  I will swatch the rest ASAP.

Until next time...

Purple nails for Boston.

Good morning everyone!  I am sure, by now, that you have all heard about the horrific tragedy that occurred yesterday at the Boston Marathon.  Such a sad day, and my heart goes out to all of those affected and injured.  It makes me sick to think about how sad and dangerous our world is, and that you cannot even be safe running a marathon - such a momentous and amazing day in a person's life, only to be devastated by the acts of a sick individual.

Yesterday, I saw a tag being passed around on Instagram to paint your nails purple for Boston (#purplenailsforboston).  Along with others in the nail art community, I wanted to show my solidarity with Boston and those injured that we are with them and that we will stand strong through this.

I used China Glaze Spontaneous, Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac, and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

I pray that the individual(s) involved will be captured soon, and justice will be served.  Nothing can bring back the lives that were lost or complete comfort to those that were injured, but we must stand strong through any sort of terrorism and come together.

My prayers go out to Boston.

Classic.

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!  We have had a busy weekend here with two birthday parties and soccer.  The boys are loving every second of it, though!

I did this mani on Friday, but never had the time to sit down and post pictures of it.  I wanted to keep my nails with a more classic look for the busy weekend, and opted for a shade of red.  Personally, there is nothing more classy than red nails - so feminine, and will always remind me of my Grandma (she always had red nails!).

I wanted red with a bit of a twist, though, so I dug through my untrieds and found just what I was looking for.  This is Nicole by OPI Kourt Is Red-Y For A Pedi.

I love the slight orange undertone to this red.  It definitely gives it that added touch that I was looking for.

Sometimes I need a bit of a "refresher" on my nails, and that doesn't necessarily mean nude.  Red can be just as simple, and yet make a statement at the same time.

I hope you all enjoy!  Until next time...

Endless blue.

Hi everyone!  Sorry I have been MIA for a few days.  A nasty cold has hit my house and everyone is sick.  Not fun at all.  By the way, before I start with this post, I wanted to let you all know that you can now follow me on Bloglovin'!

This morning I had a bit of free time to do a manicure - finally!  I wanted to do another blue manicure for Autism Awareness Month.  I am really loving all of the bold blue shades that are trending lately, and Sinful Colors Endless Blue is no exception.  I have been wearing this on my toes lately, and finally decided to put it on my nails.

My silver and glitter accent nail is Sally Hansen Celeb City topped with OPI Which is Witch?

I created the zebra print using some black acrylic paint over Sally Hansen White On.

I love the look of mix-and-match nails!  I hope you all enjoy this as well :)

Until next time...

Neon pink.

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope you are all enjoying your weekend :)

I had some down time this morning and was able to do my nails.  I wanted to go for something bright to match the warm weather we have been having lately.

This is Orly Beach Cruiser layered over Sally Hansen White on.  Holy brightness!!  This is such a gorgeous neon pink!  I'm in love!!

And, of course, I had to add a touch of bling.  So my accent nail is Sally Hansen Celeb City topped with OPI Crown Me Already! and Essie Set In Stones.  This combination definitely adds that touch of bling I was  looking for.

Sorry for the short post-- nap time for the boys!

Until next time...

Blue heaven.

Good morning everyone!  I was so busy this week that I did not have time to do a special manicure for Autism Awareness Day, which was April 2nd.  However, the entire month of April is dedicated to Autism Awareness, so I plan on doing plenty of blue-themed manicures in support.  More information about Autism and Autism awareness can be found here.

I used Color Club Blue Heaven as the main color for this manicure.  I am in awe at the holographic effect of this color - it's amazing!  I took these pictures outdoors to show all of you the gorgeous holographic effect of Blue Heaven.

For my accent nails, I used OPI Black Onyx as the base, and various sized dotting tools to create the dotted gradient.  I used Color Club Blue Heaven (blue holo) as well as Color Club Harp (silver holo) on it to add a little dimension to the dots.

These are definitely staying on for a day or two!  I love how this came out!

Will you be doing manicures for Autism Awareness Month?

Until next time...

Butter London Jaffa.

Hi everyone!  Sorry if it seems as though I have been MIA lately, but I have had a lot going on!  Life can get a little crazy at times, which doesn't leave too much time for manis.  Today has been a very exciting day for us- my oldest son started preschool and I dropped off my acceptance slip for the Nursing Program I was accepted in to last week.  So SO exciting!

For my NOTD (nail of the day), I started off using one of my newest Butter London polishes from their recent Good Morning America promotional deal.  This is three thin coats of Jaffa, a crelly orange with a slight coral undertone.

I was so torn about adding to this mani.  Part of my wanted to enjoy the simplicity of this beautiful color, while the other part of me wanted to use my stamping plates.  The latter of the two one :)

I used Color Club Cherubic, a gorgeous nude holographic polish, and Cheeky plate CH 14 to add the floral design.

I love how well this CC compliments Jaffa; subtle, yet noticeable.

I wish the sun had been out so I could capture some better pictures showing the true holographic effect, but it has been very cloudy all day.  You can still slightly see it in the photos though.

Until next time...

Easter nails part 4.

Good morning everyone, and happy Easter weekend!  I am spending this weekend with my family, so today will be my last post of my Easter manicures.

For this last look, I wanted to do something simple and girly, yet still keep that Easter vibe.  I chose to use one of my untrieds, Nubar Pink Lily (a very fitting name for the manicure, don't you think?).  For my accent nail I used China Glaze Glistening Snow.  Yes, I am still obsessed with Glistening Snow, I know!

I love how clean and simple this looks, but I wanted to add that touch of Easter to it, so I looked through my Cheeky stamping plates.  I chose plate CH for the small flower design and stamped this on my middle finger using Sally Hansen White On.

Girly, some bling, and a touch of Easter - check, check, and check!  I love how this came out!

I hope you all enjoy your Easter weekend!  And if you do not celebrate Easter, I hope you have enjoyed these Spring manicures and have a fabulous weekend as well!

Until next time...
