Light and delicate.

A while back I was scrolling through Pinterest and saw a gorgeous manicure that I knew I had to recreate.  The link was bogus and led me to some random site, so I dissected the look based on what I could see in the picture.  It appeared as though the person used a pastel pink jelly nail polish to create the jelly sandwich. On top of the dainty jelly sandwich were hand-drawn feathers.  I thought this was so delicate and girly!

Without knowing what polishes were used, I went searching through my own collection to find similar matches so I could recreate this lovely manicure.  I chose Nubar Lafemme (a delicate baby pink jelly polish) and OPI Pirouette My Whistle.

To begin, I painted to coats of Nubar Lafemme.  This is such a pale pink jelly, I wanted to make sure I established to gorgeous pink color on my nails before adding the glitter.  And in the jelly sandwich fashion, I then painted a layer of OPI Pirouette My Whistle, followed by another layer of Lafemme.  I adore this combo- so light and delicate!  I then used a thin nail art brush and Sally Hansen White On to paint the feathers.
