Candy (and an early Valentine's Day gift).

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  The weather here in southern California was a bit chilly, but nothing like the cold and amount of snow the East coast received over the weekend from the storm Nemo.  What a name for such a fierce blizzard!  I hope you all stayed warm and cozy inside.

Over the weekend I picked up a few beauties from the new OPI Euro Centrale Collection.  I have two of them to show you today, which I used in the February Nail Art Challenge "candy" design.  I was feeling slightly uninspired by this topic for some reason, so I have a rather simple design to show you.  Although it is simple, I really do love the way it turned out and I hope all of you do as well!

I used OPI You're Such A Budapest from the new Euro Centrale Collection as my primary color for this mani.  You're Such A Budapest is a gorgeous light lilac that has a bit of a periwinkle tone to it with a subtle shimmer.  I love this color and it was one of my must-haves from the collection!  I was a little disappointed with the formula on this one, however.  It was a little sheer and patchy, which required three coats to achieve full opacity.  Despite that, I still love this color and consider it a must-have.

I topped You're Such A Budapest with a glitter gradient using Polka.com.  This teal and fuchsia glitter pairs perfectly with all of the colors in this collection, and definitely adds a fun vibe to the mani.

My accent nail is where I have tied in the "candy" theme for today's February Nail Art Challenge design.  I painted two coats of OPI Don't Touch My Tutu! and then used some acrylic paint and a small nail art brush to paint the candy heart.  Whenever I think of Valentine's Day candy this is what comes to my mind, so I knew I had to incorporate it into today's design.

And speaking of Valentine's Day...
My sneaky husband surprised me with an early Valentine's Day gift and I was so shocked.  He did so good!!!  So here is a look at what I got :)

I hope you all enjoy this "candy" mani and a look at some diamonds (who doesn't love diamonds?!)!

Until next time..
